Remote Asset Services signs onto Colosseum

The 2014 drag racing season kicks off on a high this week at Hidden Valley Drag Strip with the announcement that Territory construction and fabrication company, Remote Asset Services has taken up naming rights over the Colosseum.

The only dedicated burnout pad in Darwin, the Colosseum provides a venue for people to have fun in their vehicles in a safe, legal environment.

John Clacy, Director of Remote Asset Services was excited about the new partnership.

“Remote Asset Services has been supporting motor sport in Darwin over recent years and we have seen firsthand the passion and drive displayed by everyone involved” said Clacy.

“After seeing the opportunities that Hidden Valley Drag Strip provides to motoring enthusiasts of all ages we jumped at the opportunity to extend our involvement”

Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association President, Jay Jukes, was equally excited.

“As a completely volunteer run sporting club we are proud of our members and the dedication everyone shows. To have that recognised and rewarded is an exciting achievement.”

Remote Asset Services employs over 15 people and delivers services to several major constructions projects across the NT with specialties in steel fabrication, construction and precast concrete products.

Originally opened in 2011 after a major upgrade to Hidden Valley Drag Strip, the 1200 square metre Colosseum is used at a range of motor sport events throughout the year with competitors vying to see who can do the best burnouts.

The Remote Asset Services Colosseum will open for the first time in 2014 at the Beat the Heat Off Street event on Saturday 29th March.
