HVDRA President to step down at AGM

Long serving Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association President, Jay Jukes today announced his plans to stand down as President at the end of this year

After 10 years with the club Jukes felt it was time that he focused on his recently changed career and his young family.

"I am sadden to have to make this decision but my work commitments have increased and while I have tried to maintain the same level of involvement with the club the pressure is only going to get greater over time" explained Jukes.

"The club is in a very sound and stable position and all our members should be proud of what we have achieved in recent years."

"Not only do we have one of Australia's best drag racing facilities we have proven that it can host exciting national events."

"To be part of such a dedicated and passionate club is something that will stay with me forever. It is because of the fantastic support from the racers, volunteers, sponsors and fans that we have been able to grow to this level over many years."

The 2015 President will be elected by the members at the upcoming AGM on the 21 October.

Members who are interested in being part of the 2015 management committee are encouraged to nominate by close of business on Tuesday 14 October.
