The 2013 NT Titles Presented by 7MATE is set to rumble Hidden Valley Drag Strip this weekend when the Territory’s best drag racers take to the quarter mile on Friday and Saturday nights.

Friday kicks off from 7pm with qualifying sessions for everyone from the grass roots Junior Dragsters, 2 wheeled Modified Bikes, wheel standing Super Sedans and the Territory’s locally based Top Doorslammers and Top Alcohol teams of Matt Abel, Peter Coles, Scott MacLean and Mark Probst from Alice Springs.

Friday night also sees the now annual burnout competition with several heavy hitters from across Australia making the journey to the Top End.

Perth based Fred Watson is set to unveil the recently refurbished FEAR Monaro. After winning Australia’s richest burnout competition in Queensland in 2012 Watson will leave his mark at Hidden Valley alongside Summernats Burnout Master, Craig Whiddett in CUTSIK.

Following the interstate power train is a host of other burnout champions including IBLOWN, SMKSHW and CASPER that will also feature along with over 20 local burnout cars.

Drag racing will remain the focus on Saturday with final qualifying sessions underway from 3:30pm before the feature racing commences at 6:00pm.

“With full fields in all categories it’s going to be an action packed weekend for Territory families” said HVDRA President Jay Jukes.

“The NT Titles has something for everyone to enjoy, whether it be drag racing, burnouts or even the giveaways and children’s rides for the kids.”

Gates open at 6pm Friday and 2:30pm Saturday.
